IIRC, the current PSU is a 450W. Brand unknown. Current machine is a Data Doctors house brand.
Externals just fit the way I work I guess. If there's an internal solution that can handle upwards of 2,000-4,000 images per month, I'm here to learn.

It's not so much that they are external, it's that you have 6tb of external drives that you are using over USB. There are much faster solutions out there. Also, I mean if you wanted to you could go internal. Get a nice Raid 5 (perhaps with a hot spare) or Raid 6 array, so you have some redundancy and you also gain some overall speed. How much drive space do you require for your workflow? How much needs to be quickly accessible, and this doesn't include a backup.
