What set of step down rings do you use to take the fa-dc58b down to the 43mm of the Raynox 250? I know it has the snap on thing but some have suggested it's less than ideally secure and centered and works better with step down ring/s. I found no single ring on B&H and no 52 to 43 that would go on top of a 58 to 52. Thanks.

I went 58-->46 then 46-->43 for a 58mm adapter tube to a 43 mm Raynox 150. Got them cheapo from Adorama.

For my Raynox I go from 58 – 52, 52 – 49 and finally 49 – 43. , I bought mine from a Chinese importer as getting them locally in the UK is quite expensive (e.g. I think I picked up all 3 for the price the UK seller was after for a single ring!).

Amazon sells a 58 to 43mm step down ring I think it is a B+W. Last time I looked it was $15.00. A little pricey but worth it for the convenience of only one ring IMO.

Thanks people. You are most generous.
I found all the items you suggested. Now to sleep on it and then make a plan.

I ordered the Amazon "58-43" ring, fulfilled by A&R photo.
It is actually John's rig, three stacked rings. I hope it doesn't put the filter too far from the lens...

I did what John did... but if I was doing it over, I'd buy a 58 to 55, 55 to 46 and 46 to 43... because I had to buy a 58 to 55 for the Leica Elpro 3 so many have recommended. I found one in Germany where the guy didn't want an arm and a leg just for the shipping (the shipping was only 3.0 Euros and I got it in 7 days)
It's been raining here all day so I've only been able to play around with the Elpro inside.... but it is fun. I hope to be contributing some adequate if not brilliant photos in the near future. John and others.. a special thanks for recommending it.

This is the set with the Raynox on top. The silver one says "55-46 Japan."
