I bought one (relatively cheaply) in October 2012 and it's become my lens of choice for flower and larger insect photography. Here's three examples: Flesh flies mating in my garden. Dew on Adiantum venustum, hardy maidenhair fern. It's a pretty good telephoto as well - providing you use it on a support. 400D, 600D, 12-24mm Tokina, 28mm f2.8, 28-135mm IS, 50mm f2.5 compact macro, Tamron 90mm macro, 55-250mm IS, Sigma 180mm EX HSM Macro
