Not sure anyone has one on here, if you do post some pics Even the Leica forum is scarce for posts, the delay in CS lenses isn't going down well.

Ahh, the M7 - how I love thee!

If anyone's interested, we posted a review on the Think Tank Photo Retrospective 5 bag. It looks a lil' something like this:

That is, quite honestly, the most amazing setup I have seen. Those camera cases look wonderful, are they Luigi? Im having trouble affording chemicals/film let alone a beautifully, handcrafted leather case.

Thanks! Yeah, both cases are by Luigi (leicatime) in his "rally" color. A bit overkill if you use a bag I suppose, but I love the feel of the camera with it, the smell of the leather... Absolutely top quality. But like you said, not exactly cheap.

Some alternatives; Zhou, Luxecase, Ciesta, A&A, Leica... There's even more than that, but those are off the top of my head.

DN - absolutely stunning looking M7! You babied it too much

After 10 days of debating with myself, decided that i am not good enough for leica, yet.
Was gonna get M6 with 25 biogon and 50 sonnar (and a good scanner) <- i would have sold my 7d/35L/Sigma 85/flash to finance it... the cruel reality is cruel. Keep the pics coming.

FWIW, LVL now has an affiliation with Think Tank Photo - so if you purchase any of their stuff through us you'll get a free gift with your order.

Thanks! It's relatively new. Custom job with M3 style controls, .85x viewfinder and only shows 35/50/90 framelines (as opposed to 35/135, 50/75 and 28/90) and of course, a black dot.

Don't be so down on yourself. I think you have some great shots! Maybe a change of gear will motivate you in ways you hadn't anticipated... And it doesn't need to be Leica or nothing! Get yourself a Zeiss Ikon or Voigtländer Bessa body instead to start with. Or heck, find an ol' rangefinder on the 'bay for cheap and play with that. The 25 Biogon is absolutely stunning optically and the 50 Sonnar has character out-the-arse. Great choices, those.

Here's a quick pic of the fam':

Nothing substantive yet, but this should be an interesting year for Leica. They'll be at Photokina 2012 and introducing a bunch of goodies for us this year. Whether or not that includes an M10 we don't know yet...

Used M6 is not that bad, but yeah i was thinking of getting voigtlander. Still afraid of portraiture with it. I had FED5 a while ago, i enjoyed it very much, kind of made me happy.
Why not the M9 on the tripod?

Well, of course the M10 will impact the cost (not value, heh) of previous digital Ms. But it also depends on "how far they take it." If it completely blows away 58 years of tradition... You never know. The M9 could become an instant cult classic.

Wow, that's a gorgeous pair right there! I might suggest La Vida Leica (of course, heh), the L Camera Forum, APUG...

Quite welcome! Rangefinders are great for portraiture - small and light, easy to take about and won't frighten animals and small children...

The 9'er isn't on the tripod because it was a quick grab-shot and I was too lazy to take off the case I guess. Ha!
