Smile Wustefest 2011

Wustefest is a yearly event that lasts an entire weekend in Las Vegas. Unfortunately I was only able to make it to the car show portion of the event due to work. Anyways, here are some of the photos.

Comments and Criticism always welcomed!

Overall, you had some pretty nice light there, & some of the shots in your gallery are better than what you posted here.

The lighting was great, but also I had to work fast to get these shots as the sun was setting and my poor Rebel XS handheld is terrible in low light/high ISO shots. I really didn't want to break out the tripod either.

After looking through the pics, I noticed I was shooting with the sun in front of me in some of these, which was a terrible move on my part. I didn't use the light to my advantage. Also, I just received my Sigma 30mm, but should have stopped down a bit on some of the shots. I found myself just shooting at 1.4 on most of them lol.

No, you want the sunlit sky to reflect in the body as you have it in #5.

What I meant was that I was shooting with the sun in front of me, instead of behind me. I was shooting the dark side of the car creating tough shadows in alot of my pics....alot of them were discarded due to this. That was the mistake on my part.

Or maybe I should have exposed for the car and then adjust in PP if I was going to shoot on the dark side of the car?

You have to be careful how you do that. Generally, I expose for the highlights in the car, rather than to "expose for the car": Need an exposure crutch?

Why? Post #47

Most of them were taken with my Sigma 8-16mm and some with the 30mm 1.4. Thanks for the comments!
