My 28-105 USM II arrived yesterday, here's a couple of tests with the tubes on.

Well, I can't beleive you received no accolade for the ant shot, I think it's brilliant.
Just goes to show there is life after canon glass. |

Great shots Pxl8, especially the ant as Soupdragon pointed out. Congrats on the new purchase, i've used one before, it's a nice lens. It looks like it works really well with the extension tubes, are these cropped or full frame? Looks like you are getting some good magnification.

Thanks,
Soupdragon - it was Canon glass. I'd heard good things about the lens and wanted something replace the kit lens that offered a little more range. Still testing it but so far I'm very pleased with the results. Nitsch - they're about 75% of the original frames, mainly to lose distractions from leaves, etc. The ant is actually checking out some honey I put on there so I could get nice and close.

Great ant shot. I wouldn't of thought to bait the little buggers.
Thanks

Very nice shots. Those extension tubes work really well. I like the hanging spider the best.

Excellent shots, esp like the ant and the second spider shot. I've been amazed over the last month at what good shots peeps get with tubes.
