You can see a few more [URL="http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=103959"]here (external link), Dante. I took all the Civil War shoots with this lens!

Gosh, that looks great Glenn. How far away from the car were you when you shot this?

About 20-25 ft I guess. He was waiting to start his run up the Gurston Down hillclimb course so he wasn't moving at the time ;) The EF 135mm isn't the best paddock lens in the world - the focal lenght is wrong, I just took it along that day to test it out. I might use it for some rallying in the new year though, it would probably work well in dark, murky forests.

Not arty, but I love the expressions!

I love the lens and I am sure you will too.

I've not had mine more then a couple of week and i only really had a chance to give it a good try out today. Most of these were taken today http://www.pbase.com/sean_mcr/135mm_l (external link)

I don't know what good composition is.... Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. There's a kind of rightness and wrongness and sometimes I like rightness and sometimes I like wrongness. Diane Arbus

That thing is soooo easy to miss the focus at f2.0. DOF is like 6 inches at 50 feet - seems like anyway.

The lens is wicked sharp, and balances very well on a 20D.
I found the focal length, on a 20D, to be perfect.

Thanks, I'm hoping to put it through the paces today—taking grandkids to the park.
