Canon DSLR Speed Challenge #199

Product Placement
. . . that is the topic for this week's DSLR Speed Challenge. Let's see everyone's best shots that include an easily recognizable product, be it a can of Coca-Cola or a Porsche. Creativity will be rewarded more than a stunningly sharp and perfectly exposed photo!

This challenge begins when posted, and will end at 12:00 p.m. Western Time Sunday, July 10. Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

Standard Rules apply:
Photo Submissions:

1. Camera - Any Canon DSLR Camera
2. Time - any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size - Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post-Processing - do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting - * ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.* Photo Name in the message subject line.* Camera model & lens used.* Notes -- post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
6. Commenting - No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner has been declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Have questions, PM me.
8. Have FUN!

One challenge every week, on the following schedule:

* New Topic - After winner is declared.
* Posting Starts - Right after topic is announced.
* Posting Ends - 12:00 p.m. Western Time Sunday, 26 June 2011.
* Winner from this competition decides the theme of the next one (and judges it for a winner) after this competition is closed.

Well, I have to pick a winner here. Figured I'd do some kind of order of finish, but that is too tough. Thanks to everyone for the great shots. My honorable mentions (in no order) are: Ultimate Driving Machine with it's awesome use of PP to create a really idyllic looking scene that just fits with BMW in my mind; Kitty Crack. I love the bokeh-ized cat in the background; and Distinctively Fender with it's simple and pure view. Really like how you framed this with the neck of the guitar.

The one that really did it for me was '57 Chevrolet. That shot should be in Chevy print ads and on TV commercials. Love the well-worn look of the grill and logo and the colors reflected in it. It just screams out to me "This is an iconic American vehicle that you can beat on and depend on and run into the ground, and after that it will still be an icon." Congrats paintmblak, you are our winner! And it's your turn to post a challenge.

Thanks again to all who submitted a photo.

Congrats paintmblak, and good work everyone.

On a side note, aside from learning all this cool photography stuff, it has made it apparent to me that it's time to wash all the drapes in my house.
