Default High Key Tutorial

I would like to do some high key post processing. What shots seem to transfer the best? If I can set the shot up, what should I try to do? Avoid? I've googled a bit and did see a few tutorials, but they didn't seem.... good enough. I've seen such better work that I know there must be a bit more to it.
Here's a site I ran across (I hope it's ok to link to someone's gallery without any permission)
http://www.chromasia.com/iblog/archi...2015_clean.php
How is this done?

Default Re: High Key Tutorial

Quick and Dirty High Key in Photoshop

1) Create Adjustment Layer - channel mixer

select monochrome

bump the red layer and fine tune the blue and green layers.

2) Create Adjustment Layer - Curves

adjust to desired result

3) Optional - Create Adjustment Layer - Contrast

adjust to desired result
