Default ancient gold

Old, old maple tree..looking up on a beautiful October evening..This tree is growing in front of the town building in the old town (c 1630) of Appleton, Maine

A lot of kids have taken refuge in these branches...estimatimated at 200 years+ old.. CC please!

what a gorgeous old trunk
it must have a great story to tell with all it has seen over the years



I can imagine the children enjoying the tree's delights
they can give more fun then a million toys
and still do, in a different way when the *children grow up
( *us all)

Thanks folks for looking and kind comments, but I'm afraid this shot looses a lot on our format here...it's shot to print at 11X17 " and looks good at that size...just too much detail and busy at this size...I've got to figure that one out for postings here...smaller format...smaller format..if only I can remember !
