Default 1D MkII frame rates

I've been told that it's possible to alter the frame rate of the 1D MkII. I use the fast (8.5fps) speed a lot but if possible, would like to re-programme the slower (3fps) speed to around 6fps.

Anyone any ideas?

Cheers,

Phil

You can't make the slow frame rate faster
But you can program the fast setting to 6FPS and enable a custom function to activate the slower rate,. and disable the CF to go back to the fast rate.

With the new "N" version you can set either one much easier.

You can set the max and min shutter speed using Personal Function (PF) 04. But you need to connect the 1D to a PC via a firewire in order to set the Personal Functions. Once set, you can enable and disable the PF to select your custom frame rates (PF 04 enabled) or the default camera frame rates (PF 04 disabled).

It's the PF (personal function) you want to look into, not the CF. The details will be in your EOS Digital Software Instruction Manual.
