Floating Me @ Jive, May ’11

Terrible lighting and vocals too low in the mix let this performance down for me.

Openers Sleep Parade were given incredible lighting, not sure why no one was on the controls for Floating Me, given the supergroup formation that they are.

First is okay and I like the perspective on #2 quite a bit. Pity the singer is just visible.
Mic in #3 I don't like (but hard to avoid here)
#4 is okay as well. But why is the roadie (or tech guy or whatever) wearing white?

thanks rene. i don't think colours were considered when he wacked a shirt on that day

jive is small. getting this many guys on stage is hard! photographing them is even harder

Nice shots Benon.

I saw them in Sydney a couple of months ago and Sleep Parade (who I've seen before) were unbelievable - great set, very tight, and put on a fantastic show.

Floating Me seemed to be all names and no chemistry - shame really, because I'm a Cog and Karnivool fan. Overall I found their set to be quite dull and decadent to the point of being annoying. Didn't even stay to the end.

yeah daniel, i felt the exact same. they had it all on paper but the show was pretty dismal
