Excellent shot - the shell almost looks translucent. I really like the light in this.

very nice don
unusual sighting of a snail the petal , being diagonal in the photo, and such a long shadow showing for such a small creature, make it different. light coming from above the petal,and the picture being bl/wh. add to the' look' plus the stripes on the petals with the snail lying in between............. mr. snail looks like a glass button standing sideways although it is a snail. that can be seen as plain as can be ........ I took a picture of a snail this week also, on a tree trunk. ( the snail , not me) he was half in and half out of his shell : ) thanks marie

Beautiful shot!
I liked the colors, and the way that only the snail got in the focus. The B&W adds a lot!
