Good choice or bad choice?

I use a polarizer on my 10-22mm wide angle to get the deep blue sky look.

^ just my opinion, but that's maybe a bit too dark in the sky.
CPL is nice if you're only facing one direction but any time you turn you might also need to turn the filter, which when focusing etc. etc. at the same time, gets to be rather quite the hassle.

I just run UV's for protection and leave the effects for Post Processing...

Sometimes I'll use a CP, but a graduated ND filter will work much better to get a correctly exposed sky.

My 1Ds will renders skies like that very often and so does the III versions I have used also!

Too dark for my taste it looks fake.
Sky never looks that dark blue.
