Default How do I turn my sheet of plexiglass into a table?

Hello, I have a sheet of plexiglass that's about 3x3ft. I want to use it to shoot products. I'd like to run a white backdrop behind and under it and I'm looking for a creative way to have it "suspended".

I've seen some cool setups, but I didn't find any in the DIY section.

Thanks

I actually ditched the top they send with it and I mainly use clear plexi across the top or a piece of plywood with some other surface above it. The aluminum legs are super lightweight but sturdy enough to support most items I shoot. You can remove the high back part leaving the table open across the back so you won't see a cross bar if you shoot on angle from in front and above. You may be able to build your own frame out of wood but breaking this one down and moving it around is a piece of cake.

How thick is your plexiglas? The thicker the better b/c it sags under it's own weight. I use counter weights on the outside overhang but for something 3'X3' I'm thinking it better be 1/2" thick (or more). Remember: it's only supported on two sides.

Here's a before image SOOC - you can see the back edge of the plexiglas:

Here's the same image two seconds later after a levels adjustment and cloning out the tape:

I built one of these:

Depending upon what I'm shooting, I use either a piece of plexi or a piece of foamcore for the base. You can scale the table up or down by changing the sizes of the PVC tubing.
