Cor, well the 1Ds4 is obviously long overdue, and where can you get more glamourous than Hollywood to announce a revamped flagship!

Oh I don't know. Recently we've had Sigma release their ludicrous SD1, and Sony completely kill that dead with their Alpha 77; so something is heading into town from Canon. If it's another printer *I shall hang my head in shame* though I doubt it; it's been a while since we've had bodies announced so something is arriving.

Some other bloggers are speculating a FF video camera with high res video. Kinda like Sony's PMW-F3.

That would make me sigh, again. The 1Ds3 is my pride and joy and i'm seriously loving it, but it's age is obviously beginning to be illuminated by more recent technology

No idea what they'll announce but some of the the comments are .

More then likely it will be a competitor to the Sony Nex and we will still be waiting for the 1DsMKIV & 5DMKIII

Through a new break-through process of electronic manipulation of light, Canon will announce a new class of mid-sized camera with 10x zoom magnification from 50mm f2.8 to an effective 500mm f2.8 with one lens... with zero loss of image quality at the higher magnifications. The prototype is slightly larger than the Rebel class of camera, and will sell in the $600-700 range.

Canon expects this new class will replace the Rebel class, and that prices on all glass lens equipment will begin to decrease as this new model becomes popular.
