Default Finished! New Studio Portfolio.

www.casephoto.ca/index.html
(There is probably two NSFW photos that i can think of)

The first set is my new studio oriented portfolio, i would love to hear comments, bashful or otherwise on the set. I have not had a chance to re-work the other galleries yet so while you may enjoy those know that i am planning on some changes for them

Let me know what you guys think, i spend a good 2 weeks sorting photos for this, trying to get something coherent with a flow in a specific style. No idea if i succeeded.

Nice series, except not fond of #2 & #15, #2 is essentially a duplicate of #1 and I think #1 is better executed and the shadow across the face created by the arm bothers me.

Nice and simple, but here's some thoughts.

The biggest issue with your site is the lack of text. Other than the navigation menu itself your website has absolutely no text on it. Get rid of all the images under 'Service' etc. and replace it with text. Search engines cannot read the text in images.

In addition to that, you will want an about page that describes yourself (in text) for better SEO and better site information. Remember a website is all about 'information'.

What is P.Works in your menu? While you may be able to explain this, no one is really going to know how to interpret that, so I would make the menu simple and not have abbreviations.

Your photo viewer is flash and while I have no problems with it, a lot of people who use devices that don't support flash aren't going to see your work. Now if you had a full flash website I'd just pass on this, but since you don't, why'd you choose a flash slideshow viewer? There are plenty of non flash slideshow options out there.

Your blog page is off site, so open the link in a new page using the target attribute in your anchor.

For better SEO, you'll also want to add unique page titles to your pages.

There's a LOT you can do, but here are the starters. All the best.

Sorry it took me a whole 5 days to answer i've been very busy on/off.

Sadly Tim, my only curiosity is in whether the set is any good or not, alot of your concerns i am already aware of and taking steps towards, such as making a .mobi version for non-flash viewing platforms, as well as shifting the menus around, P.Works was the best i could do at the time and i've never been quite happy with the wording since.

That being said SEO is completely meaningless to me, i actually don't want to be googled as random clients just seem weird to me, i have enough SEO so that if someone is looking for me, they can usually find me

Other then word of mouth, my desired clients would be art directors and they don't google photographers. They only google a photographer they've already heard of :P

The reason my gallery is currently flash is simply because thats the LR plug-in that allows me to easily update it, making new galleries is extremely fast and efficient so while i have not been updating my site, i have made full use of it in other places

So its all very good advice, although a bit generic, and while i appreciate you taking the time to offer it, i would rather hear comments about the photos themselves, as a set.
