I receive cards time to time from businesses to remind me of an appointment I made a year before, or from those that havent seen me in a while. This got me thinking that I should do this for my own customers that I havent seen in a while.

I was wondering if anyone here does something like this and what kind of response you get. :)

Depends somewhat on your market, but mine (mothers and women in their thirties and older) love getting nice cards.

always good to remind your customers that you're still in business.

I have mixed feelings about cards in general. When I get one I think "oh how nice of them" but then my mind moves on to the costs and wastes that went into making and getting that card to me. The final thought is usually something like "they could have just texted me instead."

And I'm not even an enviro-nut.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

The only reminder cards I get are from oil change dealership, my dentist and updates from my local politician. All of which I toss them in the bin. My dental clinic calls me ahead anyways.
