Wow, I love the first one with the smoke best. I saw Judas in Sheffield way back in the seventies and they were superb. The Anthrax ones are pretty cool too.

Great shots, man have those guys gotten old. Wait, crap, so have I. Have not seen Preist or any metal group live in years. A real bummer. Killer work Thomas!

#1 is mind altering! I wouldn't know these guys if they bumped into me at the airport (although I have heard the name) but these are really stunning images of what is clearly a first class visual performance. How did your adventure come about? Did they allow cameras in general or were you somehow involved?

Thanks for the praise guys.
Dwight, I have been shooting local bands for a couple years now. I was "discovered" by Garage Radio http://www.garageradio.com a few months back. As media we get photo access, first three songs. I do this with GR as a stringer. Now I need to find some print contacts. |

Metal, That's great and now your stuff makes sense as well as beauty. I wish I had some wisdom to share about getting into print. I have a great gig at the casino, picture ID and All Access pass (although it doesn't mean a thing and everyone at the casino knows me anyway) and the usual three songs restrictions for the big names ... although I shot Merle Haggard Thursday night (pictures are in the pipeline) and we were allowed to shoot everything AFTER the first three songs ... I suspect it was a put-on since the talent buyer is a good friend of mine and we always commiserate about the silly 'first three songs rule' so I think he arranged for this 'restriction.' I got the impression that Merle's people were very easy to get along with ... not always the case. Anyway, the casino pays me well enough that I try to find ways to get additional mileage for them and me from the images by providing courtesy images to the local newspapers. I just started it and it is working out pretty well, slowly getting me more connections while improving PR for the casino. But I have no idea how one gets work with print, meaning magazines, slicks, CD covers, newsletters, etc. Oh, and one other thing I have found is that there isn't a 'standard' in this industry ... each band, entertainer, management team, media group, television outfit, etc. has their own way of doing things and no one seems to really know a "best way" to get involved.
