I searched this forum and others for information about the best lense I could buy for around $700 Aus that I can use for photographing sport and wildlife.. I obviously need the best zoom possible with great clarity but the budget is the issue at this stage. Most of the stuf I've read recommends great lenses that are way out of my price range - sadly.
Will be using with a 350D Any help would be great. Cyrus |

i have had the Canon 75-300 USM (approx $190 US) and hated it. Focus was slow and images were soft. I now have the Canon 100-300 USM (approx $275 US). Focus is much faster and it is sharp if u stop it down a bit -F8. Hope this helps. Good luck

I don't really know waht Austrailian money is in $700...But either a Canon 70-200MM F/4, Sigma 50-500MM or Canon 100-400MM IS,,, I would personally save up for the Canon 100-400MM IS.

70-200 F4 is a good lens.
Most users don't see any problems using the above mentioned lenses either. Spend the most you can afford. It's a good rule.

thanks guys, I'm cool with the rule of spending as much as I can however all of the lenses mentioned above are way over $1500 and some nearly $3000... a tad over my $700 rough budget lol
