Default Lowel Ego fluroescent tabletop softlight

Does anyone have the Lowel Ego? I'm interested in picking one up. What do you think of it?

I renamed your thread slightly, it might help you get more replies. It looks like a handy wee tool

I played around with one in a camera store and was most impressed with it. It can produce beautiful light for very small objects. I'd love to have one about 3x4 or 2x3 feet for doing larger products and portraits.

dayhawk: i think that's a good estimate. for approximate $290 you can pick up 2 sets of lights, 2 stands with 2 swivels directly from b&h.

i'm thinking they're nice for a super studio beginner living in a ny apt like me

Not to revive such and old thread too much, but for anyone interested, try this.

I am trying to find a better diffusing material, but for now, it seems to work nicely. I have also used it without the shower curtain material and just the foam core around it, going through a pop-up laundry hamper which works well too. And need a different name for it...
