Same lion. Sorry, I meant to attach this also to first. It's just after sunset and he is on a Cape buffalo kill. I'm pretty close. The bottom shot is not cropped at all. The others are sightly.

If you are talking to me .... This was my 2013 trip to Timbavati. A private reserve part of the Greater Kruger park system in South Africa. On the private reserves, we can off road track the 'big 5'.

btw, these were seriously under exposed. Nearly 2 stops. I may have been a little excited and not paid attention to the camera enough. In low light, it's a struggle to keep shutter speed up and also expose to right.

Yeah it is amazing but at least the Fox have some bulk to work with. I find it more amazing that theses little guys find a way to cope. It was about 1 F when I took this with a wind chill of about -12F, not as cold as you up there but still pretty cold.
