I just ordered a sigma 70-200 f2.8 and it will be here next week. I see that you have that lenses too. I have a rebel 300d and wanted to know if you could tell me a good setting that would help me while shooting hockey?

Hey Rebel,

I do have the same lens, and I used to have a DReb, But I never had both at the same time. BUT, I think I can get you in the ballpark.

Use Manual mode, set the Av to 2.8, start the Tv at around 350 and the ISO to 800. That should get you close. Of Course you'll have to use the trial and error method on the pics until you find what works. Also, unless you've hacked your DReb, You won't have AI Servo at your disposal, So you'll have to "Time" your shots. Maybe focus on a goalie (Not as much movement) and try to pick up a couple good shots there.
