awesome pictures!.. are CPL filters only good for landscapes (during the day)?.. or do they play a role at night time as well?

Also are they helpful for people photography in any way?

They are like polarizing for sunglasses. The only work in daylight. They do help with people in direct sunlight as well. To me, they help color saturation and contrast, as well as giving the sky that rich blue and often gaining you some detail in clouds and such other highlights.

^ thanks for the quick reply.. i've never really looked into investing into filters, but after looking at those pics wow!..

Also what other types of filters are there?.. and what role do they play?
