How about lifting the 1D4 count limit to show higher than 1999 exposures? You have 4 digits on the lcd!

(Just popped in a 128gb CF Card)

I have never understood people complaining about the limit on that LCD. Take an average of a few shots to get the file size for your specific camera and calculate the maximum shots it can take. If you really want to get an accurate range shoot some at ISO 100 and calculate and some at 102400 and calculate again.

The rest of the time a warning that you only have 1998 shots left should be plenty of notice.

It's not that. Just seems silly to stop it at 1999, I don't even take that many shots at an all day wedding.

It might seem silly to stop at 1999. it also seems silly to go beyond it. Its only an estimate anyway the count changes all the time dependent on settings
