Here is my Top 10 Portrait Photographer List (external link) - www.dewitzphotography.com/top-10-best-portrait-photographers-today/ (external link)

Not looking for your top 10 but name a couple who would you have put on your own list. Making a list of my top 10 was a lot harder then I thought going into it. I admire so many other photographer's works and it was really hard to narrow them down.

You already have Zack Arias (my number 1), Joey L, Scott Kelby, Chase Jarvis, Joe McNally who would all be in my top 10.

For me personally, I'll add Cliff Mautner,Kevin Kubota, Susan Stripling (my wedding photographer), Lara Jade, and Jingna Zhang. There may be more, but these are what I can come up with

Although no longer living, I'd have to add Monte Zucker to the list.

A few of the names above were defiantly in the running when I choose my top 10, but a few weren't. I might have to add on and make my top 20 ;) There are so many great photographers out there and if it wasn't for forums and the net, think of whose work you would have never seen.

I looked thru the collection of photos in the link provided by OP, and found few shots that I consider to be 'portraits'! I agree with D Thompson about Zucker being a portrait master of the past. All too many photographers fail to comprehend posing properly now.

Not being (or aspiring to be) a professional portrait photographer, I can't say I follow the "who's who" very much. Although much lesser-known than the photographers on your list, I'd have to say that I've consistently been very impressed by the work of Phamster right here on POTN. IMO he does a great job with locations, lighting and posing.

Gregory Heisler. Studied under Arnold Newman and has many Time magazine covers to his credit. Incredible portfolio. If you look hard, you might recognize a few of his subjects. ;)
