Long time no post here he he he my 60D still at Canon service center for more than a month already to replace the Rubber Grip,
the good thing is it has a 3 years warranty i miss my Sexy D i miss shooting..

Thanks Randy. I had my rubber grip replaced also and it was less than a week and a half turnaround. I sent it to the Virginia location. Cant imagine being without it for more than a month. Did you call them to find out what the delay is?

Hey Dan,
Can I ask why you sent it to the Virginia location instead of NJ given that you are in Brooklyn? Just curious. I am trying to summon the courage to send mine in for the grip to be replaced, but when I asked the nice folks at Canon they indicated the NJ service center (for which coincidentally I have read good things).

Did you have both front and back/thumb grips replaced? The thumb grip is worse on mine, the front is peeling off but not as much. The grip has not swelled, rather because it never fit completely flush it slowly starting coming off as it rubbed against my hand or my body when carrying it.

I heard good reviews about the Virginia location so I sent it there. For the grip I just had a minor peel near the back focus button but Canon replaced all the grips. The new grip has larger ridges so it feels easier to hold. My assumptioin is that if you send it in they will replace all grips. They also cleaned the dust that was inside my viewfinder

Heh, yeah, they sent me my 17-55 packed improperly in the retail box I sent it in, put the styrofoam inserts in the wrong way so the lens was loose and free in the box, when I got it the rear cap had come off and everything. Oddly it seems to be OK and is definitely focusing correctly and is sharp, but I was/am still a little annoyed and hope it didn't suffer some damage that won't really show up until later. It is the closest service center to me though so if I need to have more work done I'll probably use them again.

Yes i called them so many times They ordered the rubber grip from Japan. so i have to wait for 3 weeks. 3 weeks becomes a Month arhg >.<
Maybe i should call them again tomorrow. Just to be sure they still have my camera ha ha ha!!!
