I just got my ThinkTank UD50 and wow... These things are very nicely made, it feels MUCH sturdier than my Crumpler 7MDH... now if I can just figure out how to get all my "stuff" in there... LOL

Johan, my favorite is the first one. Love the startrails in the sunset. Care to share more info on it?

Between, you do not have the right to post your three best shots. It's unfair. Even your worst landscape is better than all of ours

I knew you would break eventually! They are the shiznit! It's amazing how you can pull that extra amount of color out of otherwise washed out skies.

This is the best combo of 3 and has never failed me:
1 Hard 3 stop ND grad
2 Soft 3 stop ND grad

The really cool thing about the Lee filters is that you can slide the filter down all the way over even a 10mm lens and get a pretty much complete coverage in full ND. So this set really doubles up as a 3-9 stop regular ND set.

I did order a Lee big stopped last April... still has not arrived...

Getting 10-22USM + 100Macro today in a couple hours... Can't wait to see what 10mm looks like on a 1.3x body!

3 best shots? Barf! haha. I have some better ones lurking up my sleeve if you guys wanna play that game.

The star trails shot was taken on the eve of the Lunar Eclipse, so the moon was REALLY orange/red. I planned this shot out in advance and didn't open the shutter until the moon was low enough so that if I opened up the shutter for 50 minutes, it would not blow out the scene. The moon was in the shot for around 20 minutes I think. I saved my camera from the incoming tide just in time. This was shot in the Olympic National Park at Ruby Beach. Wish I could have left the shutter open longer, but the sun would have killed it as it was rising.

Also, I had to rubber band a towel and chemical hand warmers to my camera, so as to keep it just warm enough to prevent condensation, which would otherwise fog up a lens in 30 seconds on the coast in the early morning.

That was more of an experiment, so next time I plan on getting more stars into the shot and getting a better perspective.

Oh, thanks for that! Why did you do a single exposure instead of lots of small ones? Wouldn't it be easier and have less chance to fail?
