My goodness Alexander is growing up! Catching up here is kind of overwhelming but I'll be trying to do it in bits and pieces. I've been knee deep the past 3+ months in getting ready for our big move. Debbie and I are getting our home in the Denver suburbs ready to put on the market and we will be moving to the mountains. Almost without exception the only pics I've snapped has been stuff I've put up for sale on Craigslist. We're gonna have this place on the market by the end of the month. Jettisoning stuff is liberating but the camera gear stays

I want to respond to something Kristy broght up in the "photos only" thread, about whether the commentaries should be kept up or dropped, since sometimes they are inconsistently offered.

Well...

To me, the commentary puts things a notch above your typical "sharing" thread -- for one thing, the commentary here is quite constructive and is not peppered by the negative attitudes of a lot of "critique" you often find.

I find doing c&c tough both time wise and due to my limited experience but it is the reason I started doing LMSYS this year and why I sat on the fence last year reading it and learning from it. I did not expect to get placed when I started but entered photos for proper feedback, getting picked is a compliment and a chore but that's all part of the game or so I thought.

For the last round I did my c&c as the photos were posted or when I could but daily at least, when time was called I had a quick recap scored and was done (easier) then sent to the top Judge. I have even done c&c for this week including my own picture and I would "like" to be able to compare my notes with the judges and also hear what they think of my entry.

I have been lucky enough to see all the scores for a couple of weeks including last week as Big K shared them which I also thought was good. There is an obvious difference of opinion on some of the entries from the 3 judges which by leaving feedback it would be explained or could even be discussed further if the head judge flags it up.
