Hi
I have recently bought the S95 to supplement my 7D and was wandering if anyone can tell me if there is a way to see CR2 files on Windows 7 64 bit version Thanks |

Do you mean to edit them, or just to view the thumbnails? If you mean open and edit, any decent image editing software should be able to do that. Your 7D should even have come with a CD with DPP on it, which is canon's own photo editing software.

On top of the the suggested solution for thumbnails in windows explorer,
I very much like FastStone Image Viewer - it's the only way I go through my images. -eyalg

Irfanview is another great viewer, and it is capable of editing and enhancement as well. I have used it for years and wouldn't have a computer without it being on there, and it is free!

I think what he means that when you are in photoshop and you go to file - open to find your photos only the file name is shown and not the thumbnail picture.

I see what you mean, tongard,
but when using FastStone or Irfan, you don't need that - you browse through your images in the viewer and open them to photoshop from there (there's an easy one click shortcut). -eyalg

i had to buy elements 9 to update 8 to get raw s95 files to open, adobe in their infinite wisdom [dumb move as far as i can see other thn forcing profits up] had no upgrade file for 8 to work with those files [ie was not supported kinda like microsoft not allowing backwards integration for office, etc ]
