there are always lots of tutorials in magazines/online for photoshop - might be worth playing with it first before splashing some cash!

thanks - I have a few more I might subject you all too!

thanks Wayne, I've sold my soul so now pictures seem to be slightly better - I've spot metered in the first instance (I wasn't interested in the snow as snow, so was using it as a white backdrop so it being over exposed was fine) then I've bumped the saturation up a little, though his little jacket was pretty bright to start with

They really are beautiful. I think we need to have a serious talk about this soul business. If i can produce pics like this mines availiable.

in all seriousness I don't do very much PP at all, I prefer to be taking pictures instead of processing them, the whole set I shot today I did very little to them, I've increased the exposure of them by a few thirds, then dialled up the saturation up a few notches.. then done some very minor cropping... (I use the software that comes with the camera to process the RAWs and Photoshop to crop) soul intact

Friday's bin day - weekly too!

thanks Adrian - glad you like them, there's a lot to be said for prime lens, I realise that's not the only factor - but knowing you cant zoom in and out wildly seems to make me think about my pictures a lot more... helps to have cute pooches to photograph too though!

Something different with the snow - some branches with snow on.

Do they work?

Evening all.
Love the dog shots Lee. The Shiba Inu is gorgeous, and I love Dobes. Nice blue tit too, I hardly saw any birds today.

Sam - love your landscape shot - don't spose you took any without that big branch top right? I find that draws my eye a lot. It's a beautiful scene.

It was so so misty here though I guess as we are so high up.

let's get this out the way then - I could not find a duck for love nor money - so this goose will have to do!

you can see how misty it was - rubbish conditions to use my new lens

however I did manage to get a few nice shots

this had us in fits of giggles - friend's dog Olive - shovelling the snow with her muzzle (she's not good with dogs she doesn't know)
