I thought a thread where we can share composites and discuss editing techniques would be useful.

So here it is.

So get sharing folks...

Mark :-)

P.S.

Images MUST contain at least two layers...

Great idea...and this is really, really good mate! Nice choice of background. :)

Here's one from today...

Great work PJ.

I wouldn't have known if you hadn't have posted it here and told me.

Which in my mind, makes this a great composite.

My developing philosophy is that a composite should either be deliberately obvious...

...or so hard to see that only the trained eye can spot it.

I just clicked, the images on the background are also composited in arent they PJ?

You are going to have to break this one down for me my friend. :-)

I am now suspecting those lights are additional as well....

Cheers mate - really appreciate it...especially since I wasn't fully comfortable with the finished image! :)

No, the artwork is for real. Its a little street not far from Spitalfields Market...just opposite the place where we picked up our xmas tree! Actually shot the image while my wife was picking out the tree! :D

Lights were added in though - you're right on that. I replaced the windows as well. :)

Great job PJ, it has inspired me to look at adding light sources.

I have been searching for images with light that matches roughly the light of the images I have taken.

But this technique puts another tool in the box.

The images on the wall, although not yours have also inspired me. :-)

No worries mate. Good luck with that - it's great fun and pushes your creativity! :)

Yh the artwork is really cool. Dunno who did it though!

Nothing too special, aesthetics wise, on this one. My wife asked me to do it for a coworker's retirement party.

This is my first composite. It was more accident than anything, as I was just practicing making selections in Elements 10 and I wound up with this one, made from 2 photos I took on my last trip to the islands:
