Default How predictable...Yet more from the RAC Rally at Croft.(Sorry 56K'ers)

Today saw the Rally visit Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire.

Unfortunately i arrived a bit too late to see the "superstars" such as Stig Blomqvist and Jimmy McRae, but they come back to Croft on Tuesday for another stage so i might sneak out of work early...

Anyway, to the pics....

Micheal & Dave Pedley in their Triumph TR7 V8

Jason Lepley / Simon Sparey in a Mk2 Ford Escort RS1800

Mark Fowler and Christopher Dewsnap in an immaculate Opel Manta.

Porsche 911 Coupe crewed by Sean Lockyear and Christopher Wood.

Chris Worral & Howard Pridmore in a Talbot Sunbeam Ti.

Apologies for the repetetive angles. The Stage was less than 2 hours in total and i arrived slightly late so i didn't have time to move around the circuit too much

The rest of the gallery is here..

There wasn't much opportunity for anything other than single car shots, so i might as well add this one

To those who suggested the Manfrotto 681, i salute you sirs, it is a fine lump of metal. Also cheers to KennyG for the advice re Monopods with heads...they just do not work.

Supersonic, Geoff! 8)

Lovely shots, all of them but the Mk2 and the Ti really do it for me. One of my mates had one of those years back. Looked crap but sounded mad and went like the proverbial!

Thanks Dave.

Believe it or not that Sunbeam is a JPEG as it came from the camera barring a bit of cropping.

Makes me wonder why i bother with RAW sometimes.

Lovely set of images. I particularly like the Escort - I've a soft spot for them and the Minis.

Did you sleep in this morning?
