Default anyone use metz flash 58af as master and 48af as slave?

I have 5D and Metz 48af now.

I guess I need to add 1 more flash to use in big church.

My questions is that can I set 58af as master in camera hot shoe and

add 48af as slave in flash bracket?

If I set 58af e-ttl, second flash, 48af, work as e-ttl as well? or should I use it

as M mode? any sync or adapter need to use two flashes e-ttl mode?

thanks.

The Metz 58 AF-1 (and 58 AF-2) supports the Canon wireless system and can serve as a master or a slave for that a system. The Metz 48 AF-1 also supports the Canon wireless system but can only serve as a slave. So, to answer your question, yes, you can get the 58 AF-1 and use it as a master for your 48 AF-1. You can set the flashes in either E-TTL mode or in manual mode. There are no additional adapters that are required to work the flashes in wireless mode other than for mounting the remote flash on to a stand.
