If you listen to Canon Rumors, you will NEVER buy anything....They start predicting the very day each item is released and dont stop year after year. The only give reliable information for 1 day every couple of years for each item....

I'm way more excited about a radio triggered flash system than I am about the new lenses or potential new body.

I can't see built-in radio really happening... otherwise they will need different flashes for different parts of the world... I could see a flash with some sort of connector for radio... and then just buy the add-on you need... if it's not this way, most anyone with an existing radio system won't want to invest in that radio... and it would make it one heck of an expensive flash!!! |

Canon Rumors (and other similar sites) are really only for entertainment... once you start taking it seriously, you've gone over the edge...

I see alot of potential downside to Canon or Nikon creating their own radio triggering system especially this late in the game when so many of us already have a huge investment in other systems. I would think that if they worked with either Pocket Wizard or Radio Popper to make their flashes accept a radio module that could attach securely to the side of the flash they would be better off than going it on their own. If they do make a new flash with their own radio wireless system then they had better improve their wireless system over all with at least rear curtain sync and the ability to mix manual flash with ETTL. Adding a few more flash groups would also be nice.
