Default canon sx40 hs for capturing children?

i have been doing lots of research. I have 2 kids and really want a camera that will capture my toddlers every day interactions, sports, running jumping swimming. I purchased the sx40 today and was feeling pretty secure in my decision but now I am second guessing myself. I would love something to fit in my pocket, but will compromise to find something that takes clear beautiful pictures. A few other cameras that I have considered are the :

Fuji F600EXR
Canon PowerShot S95 or 9100

are those better for capturing the precious moments of my kids lives? or will the sx40 be the best?

any advice in appreciated.. im really clueless

I have a Canon Powershot SX30-IS. From what I've read online, my camera and yours are very similar. I've owend the Powershot SX30-IS for almost a year and this camera was what sparked my interest in photography. Once you get a feel for the camera, I assure you that you won't be disappointed. The 35x zoom is absolutely amazing. You also shouldn't have a problem taking action shots with your children. Keep this in mind -- I can be driving 70 mph on the interstate, put my camera out the window, take a picture WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION, and get a perfect shot. I've also taken pictures of my boyfriend's 2 year-old cousin and they turned out fantastic even without editing them in Adobe Lightroom. If you have any questions about your camera, please feel free to ask.

(By the way, try the foliage setting when taking pictures of your children, especially outdoors. Makes them look awesome!)

I have the 40 and it is great. It is not a typical point and shoot. You can do so many things if you take time to learn how to use it. I have taken some shots that my 4k camera could not have done any better. Just learn nd play. I have a site that will open your world with it. PM if interested.
