I lived in Olongapo for 3+ years. My wife (Filipina) is from Pampanga. She is an AMAZING cook.

Her friends pay her to cook for them! When I met her I was 170 lbs. I got as fat as 218! (currently under 190)

Gotta watch out for those cooks. You'll be out of shape in no time.:)

Glenn

Ian those are really nice pictures very classic thanks for sharing with us.....even now if I have the money and decided to built a house in Cagayan it would like that the negrense balay.....2 storey with an old style look....

thanks peter and you're welcome. good thing with this forum is we share these photos to each other and you know, it's like we've also been there, right? i mean, even if we can't go to those places personally, at least we've seen it through these photos.

Nice one Ian. TFS

One thing that's prominent on these houses are the rich solid hardwood.

I was the one on the red and yellow stripes (external link)

thanks mr. jun. yeah those solid hardwood are awesome. by the way, US developers are now trying to incorporate wood in their buildings. i mean from walls to floors. i read this from the USGBC magazine.
