Default Question on taking newborn pics of my son, propping up is head.

So my 2nd son is due late May and I want to take some newborn pics.

I see pics of babies proper their heads up on their little arms. How is this done? At what age?

Sorry for the odd question.

Not an odd question at all. This is usually two shots merged together. One with someone supporting the head and arms together and another without the arm in the shot. These are then merged in photoshop or another editing program.

Here was another person with the same odd question

The baby has to be very very sleepy for this pose. The best time to take this shot is before the baby is ten days old. It's not very safe to try and have the baby support themselves, so it's best done by a composite in Photoshop (like previously mentioned in a prior post).

Yes, thank you so much. I've sought out Youtube for a few tutorials.
