Canon s100 takes around 200 shots
So canon s100 users did anyone of you buy an extra battery for s100
Or you think one battery is ok for you
Don't forget video will kill the battery .

I looked the other day at Best Buy, $64, there was a thread awhile back & several people were complimenting the Sterlingtek batteries which are really cheap.
I'll buy another just for the "comfort" reason.

I did when I bought it just based on the reviews. I pretty much always do anyway.

i was one of the people who are all about the sterlingtek's. i bought an extra for the S100 and have a couple for my 60D as well. i think i paid around 14 for it and it performs as well as if not better than the canon.

Hahnel for me. Always have a second battery. Allows me to fully 'cycle' the existing one to get maximum performance.

Talking of such; what's the little bit of rubbery stuff in the battery door for? It doesn't slide but does pop open and reveals the battery below. Are Canon expecting us to work this thing so damn hard the battery needs a blow hole? !!

I always buy an extra battery for any camera I own. It just seems like must to me!

I have an extra battery from my old SD790. Like what others have said, it's a must to have an extra one for this camera.

I have a pair of Sterlingteks in the grip on my 50D for about three years, original Canon when I shoot without the grip, and have never had a problem with them.
I figure the batt for the S100 should have the same quality. That's what I would buy if I get an S100.
