Was out in a canyon behind a golf course when this raptor circled overhead for a few minutes. Shot with my 1d4 and 100-400. These are cropped obviously. I need to save my pennies for a 500 f4 :rolleyes:

I think you did a great job of getting good exposure on the "dark side of the wing".
That being said, #2 is a clear winner for lighting and detail. I would bet there's "room" to crop them even a little closer if you like.
