Nikon D800 tested at DxOMark, gets the #1 spot

What are your thoughts on the DxoMark ratings?

Impressive... I think.

So what this tells me, in lab testing, there's no point in picking up a D4 unless you need to shoot 10fps.

Holy Batman! I just canceled my 5DIII and just ordered the D800e. It is going to be long wait but a score of over 14 on DR in Landscape! WOW

That is impressive, many people that where thinking on a D4 must be re-considering that purchase now.
Fstoppers brought that the perceivable enhancement of the D4 over the D3s is not a big deal and that they would be thinking on the D800 as a D4 killer..

Now i have a question, Canon on Dxo is always way down on the scale compared with Nikon , Sony etc.. why is that and what does that mean in real life?

Sony is ahead with sensor tech in recent years. They are much bigger company than Canon and Nikon in manufacturing electronics parts

Shoot! my 5D Mark III is scheduled to be delivered from UPS today. I will try to contact my Camera store to see if they allow me to return it before it is to late. Gosh, now I need to think about discounting my Canon lens for a fire sale. Not pretty, not pretty at all. Well I only have 4 lens so it shouldn't be that bad.
