I shot these last night at a "Sankeet Mehndi" party for one of my brides. I will be shooting her wedding tomorrow. Lighting was two off camera speedlights bounced off the walls and an on-camera fill flash.
1. ![]() 2 ![]() 3 ![]() 4 (this was shot outside in open shade) ![]() 5 ![]() 6 Off camera flashes did not fire for this shot. I need to fix the color balance. ![]() 7 ![]() 8 My wife joined me for this shoot. She also got a beautiful tattoo. ![]()

Very nice shot! i love the lighting. Did you have your on camera flash pointing up or pointing forward?

Thank you. Regarding the on-camera flash, I had it pointed up and behind me. I rarely ever aim my flash forward.

What you are seeing is the actual henna "mud" that is applied. Once it dries, you would wash off the mud and the stain would remain on the skin.
