Default Sora

I thought I was skunked the other day at Ormond Wetlands. The light was great but nothing was flying. As I was leaving I looked under the bridge and saw this guy.

Please let me know which pic looks better on your monitor in terms of contrast and brightness.

Very nice shots. I'm on my laptop right now and they both appear to be pretty close to the same on here. I think that I prefer the second one though.

Wow! A great bird I have never seen even though they are in our area. Rails are always pretty elusive. As far as which pic looks better...I like the face in #1 as you can see a bit more detail. I'd probably say overall #1. I do like the feather color in the 2nd though. Keep both of 'em!

I think #2 as the lighting is better when the bird turned around

both are very nice, if a little blue, but maybe thats what makes the lovely detail at the edge of the feathers stand out more

Hi Paul
The second one looks better , the 1st one doesn`t have enough contrast.

Wow Paul, great shots. You were very lucky to see/find it, a great catch indeed. Both photos are great, I like the first one better but the contrast in the 2nd shot is better. The first shot looks a little washed out, very nice images though, well done.

Lucky to get such clear shots of this species. I would say I prefer the second one.

Very hard birds to find. I like the first one and I think a little more contrast would help.

Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it. Sibley says this bird is common nonetheless it is the first one I've seen, they really stay in the shadows.

Nice shots. I'll vote for number two because of the greater contrast. Thanks for sharing.
