I was enjoying the sun out on my patio a little while ago when I saw that every passing cloud held colors as they passed the sun. Today was unusually bright and colorful due to the very low humidity and bright sun. The sky was a very deep shade of blue.

I grabbed my 400mm on the 7D and snapped some passing airplanes and then got some clouds that made a perfect solar filter for me.

Thanks. I usually keep the long lens on the camera because I have less control over far away subjects...they don't always wait for me to change lens. Close subjects are either stationary, or speak my language.

BUYING A CANON DOESN'T MAKE YOU A PHOTOGRAPHER, IT MAKES YOU A CANON OWNER.

Maybe the area you live in but not where i'm at where skies are clear most of the time . Other than that i have no time to argue with you on the subject . If it happens all the time then post as many as you can in the next 6 months that you personally have taken . Do that starting today , not what you have in the past or ones that someone else has taken .
