I just followed a link in CSMFoto's signature to his website.
On his homepage, he states, "Lego’s were the early tools..." and it reminded me of all of the creative things that I did as a kid. When I was in 6th grade, one of my large Lego projects was building a monastery for a school project. So what were your creative outlets as children/teenagers? |

I forgot about Lincoln Logs.
I used to love anything that had to do with building things. I used to love these cardboard bricks. Erector Sets have changed a lot since I was a kid. |

Also started trumpet in 4th grade and played through high school. Dropped it when I went to college. My freshman year of high school I got to go to China and Japan for 10 days. I took 14 rolls of 36 exposure film. Not sure why I did not keep taking photographs after that. |

Ha! I also played the trumpet! I just recently gave mine to my younger cousin who's interested in playing. But, as a child, I was all about the legos!

I don't know?
Having said that though, I used to play with a lot of Lego... - Playmobil too as someone mentioned, but I spent more time with Lego overall. But in terms of inspiration - I really don't know...

I started playing bass when I was ten, which I guess is what started the development of the artistic side of my brain.
Since I was old enough to hold a wrench though, I've had an obsession with taking apart and improving all of my expensive toys (little red wagon, countless bicycles, and eventually cars). And it was cars that initially led me to photography. |
