Shooting for my wife's dance studio. All solos, no groups. Most likely back of poorly lit theater(won't know til we get there). I have rented the 70-200 f/2.8 II and the 85 f/1.8 for the weekend, even though I assume the 85 will be too short. My question pertains to shooting and focus modes. I planned on using manual mode, shooting wide open and cranking up the ISO, and using AI Servo. I also will be using a monopod. Anybody have any thoughts, tips or advice?

What camera are using?
if you're using canon, use TV mode is better. Although, i use manual too in some occassions. Depending on which camera you're using. I can crank the iso to 5000 and still have reasonable good photo. 70-200mm is fine. Yep, AI servo all the way.
