Actually, my 5Diii doesn't even know that someone on the internet started a rumor. If it melts, it won't matter.

Well as someone who has saved for this camera and spent £3000+ this worries me!

They aren't going to take your camera and keep it......everything will be ok in the end.

I'm a little worried, as not only did i save up and bought this camera, I bought it from outside the uk (hongkong) and had it shipped to me!! so feck knows where that leaves me!!
Only issue i'm having with mine is the underexposure issue, not seen any error80 messages yet!

Out of curiosity I called Kenmore Camera and the rep hadn't heard anything about it. He put me on hold to check with others at the store and no one has heard anything about it. If this was true I'm sure it would just be a matter of Canon sending out a mass email to all vendors telling them to stop sales and all stores would know about it. If it is true, more than likely whatever the issue is only affected a small batch and Canon simply contacted the stores that the batch went to. It could be something as simple as a process was accidentally left out when mixing a batch of paint or something. Just going to have to wait and see.
