I did some family photos for a friend tell me what you think.

These are pretty cool pics. Some may say "get em out of the direct sun" but you made up for it by having the background properly exposed.

You could have made them pop a bit more by a larger aperture by reducing the depth of field. I think they will be very happy with these though. Awesome background on the last one though!

BTW: I don't consider myself a pro, just take my advice with a grain of salt

I am also not a pro, so please take this with a grain of salt.

Like mosabi said, I would get away from direct sun. Some hot spot in most pictures. Also, the older daughter never looks into the camera as if the person who got her attention was not directly behind the camera. I like the the one in the shade the most since they look more relaxed. Good capture of mom's smile.

Awesome background but I am not quite sure about sharp-in focus rock coming out of the subject's head.
