Canon EOS 1100D..is it worth it?

hello everyone..i was just wondering if Canon EOS 1100D is worth the money?im from the Philippines and the price that i saw was 25k pesos..considering im a student..i go for the money saver type of dslr..but with just the right specs..im a young student photographer..im 15 years old..but the problem is i dont have a camera..i just got my experience from borrowing cameras from friends..photography is my passion..i just love everything about it..and i plan on buying a canon eos..but i only have a limited budget..only 30k pesos..could i ask any of you for help?about the 1100D?and more cheaper yet good eos cameras?an early thanks to all who will reply

I think the 1100D would be a fine first camera for you. You're just starting out, so it'll be a long time before you outgrow its abilities. Make sure to buy it from an authorized retailer.

At that price, no. You should be able to get a 550D or a 40D for that amount.

The older 550D is a better value with more features (and may cost less)

As said, I think the 550D (new or used) would be a better choice.

go with the eos 550d if your budget permits otherwise go with the 1100d
