Default using an objective lens

I was looking on surplus shed and noticed some microscope objective lens for sale. they are threaded for 1.25" and I suppose they are universal, not to sure on this one. They are so cheap I would buy one but I need to know if there is an EOS adapter to add an objective lens without the microscope itself? Is it even possible to do this? I plan to use a heavy velbon video tripod and a macro focus rail to operate, but after some research I was unable to find an adapter so I thought id ask on here. thanks.

Think you can get M42 fit cone adapters so you would just need an EOS/M42 adapter too.
This type of thing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RMS-Thread...-/350352400700

I did a DIY version with some old ext tubes and fitted the objective lens to a body cap I put on the end of the ext tubes

Thanks man, glad you came through on this one. How did your pictures turn out with this experiment?

Here's some shots using a 10X objective- all have been focus stacked to give greater DOF.

Here is a similar adapter I have used:

You'll also need a t-thread adapter for your camera too.

The quality of the objective really matters. I used my 4x and was pretty happy with it, but photos with my 10x were pretty poor. I later changed to using a reverse ring which gave me much better results IMHO and is a much cheaper solution even if you already have the objectives.

yep after learning that key word "RMS" adapter I found an entire world of super macro photography. Apparently with objective lens the Nikon M-plan series are the way to go because they were designed to attach to a camera and not have chromatic aberration. From what i understand so far. I am going to try some cheap ones off of surplus shed for now until I can fit 150-200 bucks back into my budget.
